Hyundai & Kia Engines Are All We Do
Korean Engine Specialist is a workshop first. Every engine we sell anywhere in Australia is rebuilt, tested and despatched from 3 David Lee Rd, Hallam, by people who work on Hyundai and Kia engines and very little else.

One workshop, one speciality
We specialise in Hyundai, Kia and iLoad engines. That narrow focus is the point: it is why we can match an engine code across build years and variants without guessing, and why the D4CB has been through our workshop more than 300 times.
Everything happens at Hallam, in Melbourne’s south east. Blocks are machined and rebuilt here with OEM-grade parts and purpose-built tools, restored to the manufacturer’s specification, and tested for output, torque and fuel efficiency before release. Engines heading interstate are crated and strapped here too. Nothing is drop-shipped to a customer from somewhere else under our name.
There is one address on this website, and that is deliberate. We supply to every state and territory, but we fit engines in one place only, and we would rather say so than let somebody drive somewhere expecting a branch.
Three things we hold to
A published price
Every engine code is listed with its price and GST included, so you can compare before you ring anyone. Fitting is a flat $1,000, not an estimate.
A price-beat you can actually use
Send an itemised written quote for identical work from a legitimate workshop and we will beat it by five per cent. Quotes missing line items are not comparable, and we will say so.
You talk to the workshop
Ring (03) 8900 6005 in workshop hours or 0470 394 187 after hours, and you are speaking to the people doing the work.
On every engine, without exception
Machined and rebuilt
OEM-grade parts and purpose-built tools, to the manufacturer’s specification.
Tested before release
Output, torque and fuel efficiency checked on every engine we release.
Your accessories transferred
You buy the block. Your intake, alternator, turbo and sensors carry across onto it.
Supported after it leaves
If something is not right, you are talking to the workshop that built it, not a reseller.
